The exact rose colour rotates with what is at peak from our florists each morning. Recent batches have featured warm orange and coral roses against the dark chocolate sponge. The Three Vanilla Cupcakes set covered the vanilla customers. The chocolate people kept asking us when their trio was coming. So our home bakery built the chocolate twin to match: same hand-baking process, same Fabulous Flowers branded boxes, same fresh real-rose finish, same individual-box format. The change is the sponge, the buttercream and the finish. Chocolate sponge, chocolate buttercream and a soft icing-sugar dusting that lets the dark chocolate colour come through underneath, instead of the pink glitter we use on our vanilla range.

Delivery: Cape Town Same-Day Only

The Three Chocolate Cupcakes are freshly baked and perishable, so they deliver in Cape Town only, same-day on orders placed before 12pm Monday to Saturday. We deliver across Claremont, Sea Point, Camps Bay, Constantia, Newlands, Rondebosch, Green Point, the City Bowl, the Southern Suburbs and the wider Cape Town network. As fresh bakery items they do NOT ship by nationwide courier and are NOT available for Johannesburg same-day delivery, even though our flowers are. If you are sending flowers to Johannesburg or another province, the cupcake add-on is not available on those orders. Our nationwide chocolate gift boxes and hampers ship across South Africa instead.

How To Enjoy Them

Enjoy the cupcakes the day they arrive for best taste and freshness. The real rose on each one is decorative only and should be removed before eating. The icing sugar is food-safe and a soft finish, not a heavy frosting. Store sealed at cool room temperature, away from direct sunlight, and consume within 24 hours of delivery. If your recipient is rationing them across the week, refrigerate the unopened boxes and bring each one back to room temperature before serving so the chocolate buttercream softens.

Can I order the Three Chocolate Cupcakes on their own?

No. The Three Chocolate Cupcakes are an add-on only. They must be added to a flower bouquet, gift hamper, vase arrangement or other gift order in your cart. We do not deliver cupcakes as standalone items. If you want a cupcake-led gift, the Cupcake Bloom Box is our standalone cupcakes-with-flowers product.

Are the three cupcakes in one box or three separate boxes?

Three separate boxes. Each cupcake is packed in its own Fabulous Flowers branded box with our gold crown emblem. This is the format our customers asked for, because it lets the recipient share them with two other people, save them across the week, or hand each one out without unboxing fuss.

What kind of chocolate are they?

Rich chocolate sponge with smooth chocolate buttercream, baked fresh in our Claremont studio bakery. Not a fondant or ganache finish. Soft, moist and built to feel like a proper celebration bite, not a snack cupcake.

What is the difference between the chocolate three-pack and the vanilla three-pack?

Only the sponge, the buttercream and the finish. Same individual branded boxes, same real rose on each one, same hand-baking process. The vanilla range uses a pink edible-glitter dusting. The chocolate range uses a soft icing-sugar finish so the dark chocolate colour comes through underneath. Choose by recipient: vanilla for the lighter palate, chocolate for the chocolate lovers.

Where do you deliver the cupcakes?

Cape Town only, same-day on orders placed before 12pm Monday to Saturday. As freshly baked perishable items, the cupcakes do NOT ship by nationwide courier and are NOT available for Johannesburg same-day delivery, even though our flowers are.

Are the roses on top safe to eat?

The roses are decorative only. Each one is a fresh rose from our florist team, placed on the buttercream for the photogenic finish. Remove the rose before eating the cupcake. The icing sugar is food-safe and can be eaten.

What allergies should I be aware of?

The cupcakes contain wheat, eggs, dairy, cocoa and traces of nuts (our bakery is not a nut-free facility). For severe nut, gluten, dairy or chocolate allergies, do not add these to your order. Email hello@fabulousflowers.co.za if you want to discuss alternatives.

How long do they stay fresh?

Best enjoyed the day they arrive. Stored sealed at cool room temperature, the cupcakes hold for up to 24 hours. If your recipient is splitting them across the week, refrigerate the unopened boxes and bring each one back to room temperature before serving so the chocolate buttercream is at its softest. The texture is at its peak in the first 24 hours.

Can I order them for a future date?

Yes. Select your preferred delivery date at checkout on the main gift you are adding them to. The cupcakes are freshly baked the morning of dispatch, so they always arrive fresh on the chosen day. For birthdays, Mother's Day and Valentine's, book at least a day or two ahead.

Can I mix vanilla and chocolate in a three-pack?

Our standard Three Chocolate Cupcakes is three classic chocolate. For a mixed flavour three-pack, email hello@fabulousflowers.co.za with your order date and we will let you know what our bakery can do for that morning. Mixed flavour requests depend on bakery capacity, so book a day or two ahead.

Find a Vase: Your lovely blooms need a drink! Put them in your favourite vase with fresh water as soon as possible.

Trim Those Stems: Keep those stems fresh by cutting them at an angle. This allows more water up the stem. Checking and trimming the stems every few days will keep them sound.

Gently Strip Leaves: Remove any excess leaves, especially from the part of the stem that will be submerged. This helps to avoid rot and bacteria, which can shorten your flowers' life span.

Remove Old Blooms: Drooping flowers release ethylene gas, which may accelerate the aging of other flowers. Strip off any dead or dying flowers to keep the rest of the bouquet looking bright and fresh.

Keep Them Cool: Place your flowers away from heat sources such as heaters, televisions, or ovens to retain the beauty of your flowers.

Clean Water: Always place your flowers in clean water. Refresh your vase with water daily or at least every second day.

Storage Tips: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to keep contents in perfect condition.

Feeding: Feed your plants with a balanced fertiliser every few weeks during the growing season to keep them healthy and vibrant.

Pruning: Regularly remove dead leaves and trim back overgrown branches to encourage new growth and maintain the plant's shape.

Dusting: Your artificial flowers and botanicals should be lightly dusted regularly with a soft cloth or feather duster.

Light Washing: For deeper cleaning, please use a cloth lightly dampened with water and a small amount of mild detergent. Gently wipe the leaves and petals.

Avoid Direct: Sunlight Do not place under direct sunlight in order to prevent colours from fading.

Fluff and Arrange: Just fluff up petals and leaves to remain fluffy. Set them in position as desired to look natural.
