Meebos is a traditional South African dried apricot snack with a sugar dusting, sometimes flavoured with cinnamon. We include them in the Family Picnic Time box because no SA picnic is complete without them, and because nostalgia is part of the gift.

Are the contents shelf-stable?

Yes. Every item except the chocolates (best stored cool) has a long shelf life. The wine, nuts, dried fruit, peanut brittle and Meebos will keep for months in a pantry. We do not ship anything close to its best-before date.

What if the recipient does not drink alcohol?

Add a note at checkout and we will swap the red wine for an option from our non-alcoholic champagne edit. The rest of the hamper stays the same.

Gently Strip Leaves: Remove any excess leaves, especially from the part of the stem that will be submerged. This helps to avoid rot and bacteria, which can shorten your flowers' life span.

Remove Old Blooms: Drooping flowers release ethylene gas, which may accelerate the aging of other flowers. Strip off any dead or dying flowers to keep the rest of the bouquet looking bright and fresh.

Keep Them Cool: Place your flowers away from heat sources such as heaters, televisions, or ovens to retain the beauty of your flowers.

Clean Water: Always place your flowers in clean water. Refresh your vase with water daily or at least every second day.
