Flower Delivery in Cape Town
We have been delivering flowers across Cape Town since 1999, from two studios and with our own drivers rather than a courier network. Every arrangement is hand-tied on the morning it travels, which is why it arrives looking the way it did on the bench. Order before 12pm, Monday to Saturday, for same-day delivery anywhere in the metro, or call +27 21 674 7206.
How Cape Town Delivery Actually Works
Cape Town is not one delivery area. It is four morning runs, and which one your address sits on decides how early the flowers arrive and how we handle a difficult building. An order going to two suburbs on the same run travels together in one van. An order split across two runs goes out on both, which costs us more and costs you nothing.
Having studios in Claremont and Sea Point matters more than it sounds. It means the southern run and the seaboard run each start inside the area they serve, rather than one van crossing the city and arriving late to the far end of it.
The runs load from about seven in the morning and leave in sequence. The northern run goes first because it covers the most ground. The southern run goes last because it is the shortest. That is worth knowing if timing matters: an order placed at nine for Durbanville will generally land earlier in the day than the same order placed at five to twelve.
Delivery is calculated at checkout once you enter the address, and it varies by zone. There is no minimum order and no surcharge for a difficult address. If nobody is home we hand over to reception, a gatehouse or building security and then message the recipient to tell them where the flowers are. We do not leave an arrangement at a door in the Cape Town sun, because an hour of it undoes a morning of work.
Southern Suburbs Flower Delivery
This is home ground. Our shop and our main studio are both in Claremont, which makes the southern run the shortest we do and the most reliable for a late same-day order.
The close ring covers Newlands, where we also make the hanging baskets at Barristers, plus Kenilworth, Rondebosch, Harfield Village, Mowbray and Bishopscourt. These are mostly houses, and the common failure is a gate nobody answers, so a mobile number is worth more than a detailed address.
Down the line the run takes in Wynberg, with its schools and chapels, and then the Constantia valley. Constantia is the largest of these by demand, and the named estates inside it, including Silverhurst, share its morning run. Estate addresses need the estate name in the notes rather than only a street number.
The run finishes through Tokai, Bergvliet, Plumstead, Diep River and Heathfield.
Atlantic Seaboard Flower Delivery
The seaboard run starts on the seaboard. Our Sea Point studio is inside the area it serves, so flowers going to this side of the city are not crossing the metro to reach you, and a late morning order still lands the same day.
It is mostly apartments, hotels and short-term rentals, which makes timing matter more here than anywhere else. A guest checking in at four cannot receive flowers at ten unless a concierge takes them, so tell us the arrival time and we will plan around it.
The run covers Sea Point, Green Point and the stadium precinct, Mouille Point, Three Anchor Bay and Fresnaye, then out along the coast to Clifton, Camps Bay, Llandudno and Hout Bay.
A good share of these orders come from overseas. If that is you, say so in the notes and we will message you on delivery rather than leaving you to work it out across a time difference.
City Bowl and City Centre Flower Delivery
The city run needs the most information from you, because almost nothing here is a doorstep. It is apartment blocks with intercoms, office towers with reception desks that sign for everything and tell nobody, and converted warehouses where the unit numbering was invented on the day.
Above the city it covers Gardens, dense with flats and guest houses off Kloof Street, along with Oranjezicht, Vredehoek on its steep streets, Tamboerskloof, Bo-Kaap and De Waterkant.
Down on the flat it takes in the Foreshore and the CTICC, then runs east through Woodstock and its studios along Albert Road, Salt River and its workshops, Observatory including the wards at Groote Schuur, and Zonnebloem.
Northern Suburbs Flower Delivery
The northern run leaves first and covers the most distance, which is why an order placed early for this side of the city arrives meaningfully earlier in the day. It is also the run with the most estate and complex addresses, where a gate code saves a failed delivery.
Close in it covers Century City and Canal Walk, Milnerton, Goodwood and the wards at Netcare N1 City Hospital, Monte Vista, Bothasig and Maitland.
Further out it reaches Durbanville, one of our busiest areas outside the southern suburbs, along with Bellville, Brackenfell, Kraaifontein and Parow. Along the coast it takes in Table View and Windermere.
What Travels on Every Run
The range does not change by suburb. Whatever is on the bench that morning can go anywhere in the metro, and what is on the bench depends on what the growers cut that week rather than a fixed catalogue.
Start with our hand-tied bouquets, or flower arrangements if it is going somewhere without a vase. If you want more than stems, our gift boxes and hampers travel on the same van, so a gift and a bouquet to one address arrive together.
For a ward rather than a home, our hospital flower and gift delivery works to visiting hours and ward rules. To get the longest life from an arrangement, our flower care guide covers conditioning and water changes.
Cards, Corporate Orders and Weddings
Every delivery includes a free handwritten card. Not a printed slip with your message typed onto it, but a card written out by the person packing the order. Put the message in at checkout and leave the rest to us.
For businesses we run standing weekly and fortnightly orders across the city, invoiced monthly rather than order by order. We keep a brief on file so the order does not need re-explaining every time.
Wedding and event work is quoted rather than ordered online, and built at the studio rather than pulled from the shop range. Venues across the metro are familiar ground after twenty-five years, including the access and set-up constraints that catch out florists delivering to them for the first time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where are your studios?
We have two: our main studio and shop in Claremont, and a second studio in Sea Point serving the Atlantic Seaboard. The walk-in shop is at Cavendish Square.
How late can I order for same-day delivery in Cape Town?
Before 12pm, Monday to Saturday. Orders after that go out on the next working day. Ordering earlier generally means an earlier arrival, particularly on the northern run.
Which areas of Cape Town do you deliver to?
The full metro, across four morning runs. Each suburb listed above has its own page with the local access detail.
How much is flower delivery in Cape Town?
It is calculated at checkout once you enter the address and varies by zone. There is no minimum order and no surcharge for a gated address.
Do you deliver on Sundays?
Delivery runs Monday to Saturday. Our Cavendish Square shop is open Sundays 9am to 5pm for walk-in purchases and collections.
What happens if nobody is home?
We hand over to reception, a gatehouse or building security and message the recipient. If there is nobody at all, we hold them in water at the studio and arrange a second attempt.
Can you deliver at a specific time?
We cannot promise a fixed minute, but tell us the window and we will plan the run around it. This matters most for hotel arrivals, conference build-ups and hospital visiting hours.
