Johannesburg delivery covers Sandton, Rosebank, Fourways, Bryanston, Hyde Park and the wider Gauteng network. As a fresh-flower bouquet it does not ship by nationwide courier. How To Care For Your Bouquet

Untie the bouquet on arrival and trim 1 to 2cm off each stem at a 45-degree angle with a sharp knife. Place in a clean vase filled with cool fresh water and the flower food sachet included. Top up the water every second day and re-trim stems on day three. Once the asiatic lilies start to open, gently pinch out the pollen-laden anthers with a tissue (this keeps the petals from staining and extends bloom life). Keep the vase out of direct sunlight, away from fruit, and away from heaters or aircon vents. Expect 5 to 7 days of life, with the lilies often lasting longer. Are the lilies safe for cats?

No. Asiatic lilies (along with all true lilies in the Lilium and Hemerocallis families) are highly toxic to cats, even in small amounts of pollen, leaves or water from the vase. If the recipient has a cat in the home, please email hello@fabulousflowers.co.za and we will swap the lilies for a like-for-like bloom that is safe around cats. Dogs and other pets are generally fine, but we recommend keeping any bouquet out of curious reach.

How long do the flowers last?

Expect 5 to 7 days of fresh life, often longer in cool weather. The asiatic lilies typically last the longest and continue to open over the first 3 to 4 days. Trim the stems on day three, top up the water every second day, and pinch out the lily pollen as the buds open to prevent staining and extend bloom life. Our freshness guarantee covers the first 5 days.

Can I add a personalised gift card or note?

Yes. At checkout you can write a personal message and our team handwrites it onto a card delivered with the bouquet. For birthdays, milestones and women's days, mention the occasion and the recipient's name and we will follow your tone exactly.

Can I order this for a future date?

Yes. Select your preferred delivery date at checkout. For birthdays, Mother's Day, Secretary's Day and graduations, we recommend booking at least 2 to 3 days ahead, especially in peak seasonal periods.

Does the lily pollen stain?

It can. Lily pollen is famously bright and stains fabric, skin and surfaces. As soon as the buds open, gently pinch out the pollen-laden anthers with a tissue. This protects the petals, extends bloom life, and prevents stains. The flowers look just as beautiful without the anthers.

Find a Vase: Your lovely blooms need a drink! Put them in your favourite vase with fresh water as soon as possible.

Trim Those Stems: Keep those stems fresh by cutting them at an angle. This allows more water up the stem. Checking and trimming the stems every few days will keep them sound.

Gently Strip Leaves: Remove any excess leaves, especially from the part of the stem that will be submerged. This helps to avoid rot and bacteria, which can shorten your flowers' life span.

Remove Old Blooms: Drooping flowers release ethylene gas, which may accelerate the aging of other flowers. Strip off any dead or dying flowers to keep the rest of the bouquet looking bright and fresh.

Keep Them Cool: Place your flowers away from heat sources such as heaters, televisions, or ovens to retain the beauty of your flowers.

Clean Water: Always place your flowers in clean water. Refresh your vase with water daily or at least every second day.
